Bill,
To the best of my knowledge there is no guideline or rule that terminates
the use of the 90th Anniversary logo design . I think that there will be
times that the logo is great to use for promotional or historical reasons.
Certainly, the 90th date is not that long passed. You may recall the special
design developed for the 85th celebration. It kind of just phased out and
went out of style. I suspect that the same thing will happen to this
design. This kind of makes it a dealers choice issue. As to use in
publications and web sites, my recommendation would be to use the standard
design especially if the site is designed to sell USPS and provide outreach.
Our friends in F and E and Law/Com may have some other thoughts also.

Subject: [Psml] Use of the 90th anniversary USPS logo
There has been some discussion between the webmasters of various USPS
websites regarding the propriety of continued use of the 90th anniversary
USPS logo. Some think we should continue use of the logo as we have passed
that point and feel it allows visitors to see how old the organization is,
while others feel we need to look ahead to the 100th anniversary and drop
the out of date logo.
Not being knowledgeable of who has the final authority over this matter,
thought I would ask the question in the PSML forum and see what happens. If
the person who is responsible for making this decision reads this message,
let me know.
