From WMMILLER at aol.com Wed Apr 9 00:15:40 2008 From: WMMILLER at aol.com (WMMILLER at aol.com) Date: Wed, 9 Apr 2008 00:15:40 EDT Subject: [USPS-Webmasters] 2008 Web Award Guidelines Message-ID: This may be a duplicate message but bear with us. We want to get this message out to all squadron and district webmasters. Be advised that the Web Award guidelines for 2008 are now posted for your review. They are available in pdf format at: _http://www.usps.org/national/itcom/webawards/current/Awards/_ (http://www.usps.org/national/itcom/webawards/current/Awards/) The graphics library for websites has been relocated to: _http://www.usps.org/national/itcom/webawards/current/weblogos/index.htm_ (http://www.usps.org/national/itcom/webawards/current/weblogos/index.htm) Changes to the guidelines have been minor in nature. Added credit for having the tag line "Boating is fun..We'll show you how" has been added and is worth two points. The emphasis on the animated graphics has been scaled back, due to popular demand. This is the third year of basically the same guidelines. The initial 9 required items is unchanged, and has been basically the same for the last five or six years, so there is no reason to be penalized for missing one of these items. If you have any questions contact me. Bill Miller Chairman, Web Awards program 2008 **************Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides. The change now makes it possible to post the web site URL as _www.usps.org/squadron_name_ (http://www.usps.org/squadron_name) . It is no longer necessary to post the same web site as _www.usps.org/localusps/squadron_name_ (http://www.usps.org/localusps/squadron_name) or _www.usps.org/lc/squadron_name_ (http://www.usps.org/lc/squadron_name) . Both however will continue to work should you not wish to change to the shortened version. Bill Miller Web Site Coordinator, USPS **************Need a new ride?
