Dana,

I too am a Sea Scout advocate so I understand that you could be frustrated.
My apologies for being short with you in my initial response. As I said in
my response to John, I just got caught up in trying to avoid a email
firestorm.

I just dug back into the archives and found the original data. Here are the
criteria for USPS Apprentice Sea Scouts to be VEs.
    1  Must be at least 18 years of age.
    2  Must complete the VCS course and pass the exam.
    3  First 5 supervised inspections with full member VE.
    4  Adhere to all certification procedures and requirements in VE manual.

The problem apparently was that no one knew there was a different member
number convention for them so we did not make provisions in the reporting
system.
