Hi Al,

The procedure is fairly simple and is described in Item F of the USPS VSC
Policy as follows:

 F. Certification Process.

Online Exam - When the prospective VE passes the online exam they
receive an email confirming they passed. He/she provides a copy of the
confirming email to the VSC Chair. Paper Exam - The exam monitor provides a
document certifying that the prospective VE has passed the exam. He/she
provides a copy of the confirming document to the VSC Chair.

Then, when they complete their five mentored VSCs (the mentor is
responsible for reporting these completions to the Chair) the VSC Chair
submits the VSC-2 Certified Vessel Examiners Form to headquarters via email,
fax or mail. Headquarters will then add them to the database of certified
VEs.

The VSC-2 form is available online for download in several versions on the
VSC Forms and Tools Page on the USPS VSC web site.
If I can be of further assistance please get back to me.

 Cheers,

Bob
