Bob,
Tonight I received a phone call from boater Paul who had not met =
the requirements for being awarded a VSC decal but was ready to =
reschedule.
When I did the original VSC he failed due to lack of Visual Distress =
Signals and lack of a fire extinguisher. During his call tonight he =
related to me that yesterday while fishing he was boarded by an officer =
from the Michigan=20
DNR who accepted the 7012 form from the failed examination plus a =
new fire extinguisher and new visual distress signals as being =
sufficient to pass his boarding exam. Boater Paul thanked me about five =
times for saving him from a ticket and a fine. Reexamination will be =
the day after tommorrow.
