Bob,
I'm having a hard time with this system (actually I'm getting pretty
aggravated).

Check this out:
1. First encounter, entered 2 batches - a 19 and a 10
Only 19 showed up, so I figured I'd screwed something up (didn't hit
print before I submitted - figured it would work perfectly, my first
mistake)
2. Entered 5 more batches on 18Jun06 (including the first missing 10) -
should have gotten us up to over 70
We show 46 with one guy who did 5 showing 6 (this time I did print -
I'm learning). My wife shows a "Last check date" of 97/45/2914
(apparently by then, the traditional calendar has changed)

I'm not sure with this system what has counted and what hasn't (or who it
has counted for). I could ask you to kill everything and I'll enter them
all again, but I don't have the energy. I was extremely careful on this
last bunch of 5. I have more to enter, but I'm not sure what will happen.

Just so you know, I'm not a computer slug. I bought my first computer in
1980 (suffered through Applesoft / DOS, loved my Mac, business went to the
IBM - Windows 1,2,3, 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP). IT considers me a power
user (well above the average understanding complex applications).

I'm stumped and ready to go back to paper (can't believe I said that).

Subject: [ve-l] VSC Reports on Web Site

Hi Folks,

I have received a number of inquiries lately wanting to know why the online
VSC submittals had not shown up in the reports on the VSC web site. Let me
explain the process so you will have a better understanding of how it works.
To begin with, your input does not go directly to the reporting system. When
the squadron or district VSC Chair enters the completed VSC data online it
goes into a database where any errors or exceptions that do not comply with
the documented rules are recorded in a separate file. Normally, depending on
the current workload at headquarters, the error report is reviewed for
disposition and the valid data is loaded into the report for the web site at
the end of the week. On occasion, all the submitted data may not make it
completely through the process steps into the report in the current week. Or
the data may not be transferred on the schedule due to the headquarters
workload.

I hope this will help you understand the process and the time needed to
generate the reports.

Thanks for your patience and understanding

Stf/C Bob Miller
