Dear Mr. Miller,
The Inflatable Life Jackets you sent to my home address for the Grosse Pointe Power Squadron are on their back to you according to UPS. UPS attempted x2 to deliver the life jackets to my home but because the package requires a signiture and no one was home to sign for the package (they attempted delivery during the times both me and my wife are at work) they were never delivered. I called UPS today and was told by UPS the package was being returned to the original mailer. I unfortunately did not find the UPS InfoNotices until last night (09/17/08). I can tell you that our Squadron has a mailbox at a local USP Store and the package can be sent there . Please advise

Great news, the Inflatable Life Jackets purchased for us by the US Coast Guard, all shipped from the USPS headquarters shipping contractor on Tuesday September 2. They were shipped to Squadron Commanders of record at that time. The only delays will be for those squadrons whose Commander has a Post Office Box address rather than a street address. In this case the process may take longer due to the need for a signature receipt.
 
We are most appreciative of the time effort and money our Coast Guard friends and partners contributed so we could participate in the “Wear It” program promoting the wearing of life jackets whenever boating. Thanks you USCG!
