Vessel Safety Check

RSPS is an active participant in the Vessel Safety Check program in which qualified examiners of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and United States Power Squadrons conduct courtesy checks of boats to verify compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

As of January 1, 2009 there were 16 qualified vessel examiners in RSPS. We schedule checks at several marinas and boat launches during the boating season. Refer to events calendar for locations and dates.

If you prefer a different location or date, contact Jay Rohrer (804) 672 3813 to make arrangements. Boats do not need to be in the water, so you can even have your boat checked in your home driveway!
