Search Value1 Word Starts Word String
Operator (Ignored in no Value2) AND OR BUT NOT
Search Value2 Word Starts Word String

This search tool searches national USPS website pages for titles which contain the specified search values and for link descriptions which contain the specified search values. The tool lets you specify one or two search values. Do not enter more than one value in a search field.

This search is case insensitive.

If "Word" is selected, a match occurs only when the value matches a full word. If "Starts Word" is selected, a match occurs when the value matches either a full word or the word begins with the value. If "String" is selected, a match occurs whenever the value appears anywhere in the text.

Since it does match on the exact value, you should consider using word roots rather than full words for the search. For instance "Boat" AND "Safe" will match "Boating Safely", "Boat Safety", "Safe Boating", etc. "Boating" AND "Safely" will only match "Boating Safely".

A pages title is displayed by your web browser in the upper left corner of the window's margin. For IE, at least, it is before "- Microsoft Internet Explorer".

A link description is the wording a page author puts on their page to describe a link. For instance -
This link takes you to the USPS Member's Page which is http://www.usps.org/newpublic1/members.
