Squadron Burgee Heraldry:
The burgee design involves two major characters on a field of blue. The first character, capital letter "B", abbreviates the name of the Squadron. Within the Berkshires is the National Historic Site, Arrowhead, home of Herman Melville, author of the classic novel of the sea, "Moby Dick." The second character on the burgee is a whale, symbolizing the Berkshire’s most famous link with the sea.
