Our pennant shows a transit and surveyor. The train depot, Goldsborough Station, was named for the assistant engineer for the railroad, Matthew T. Goldsborough. Over the years the name has been shortened to Goldsboro from Goldsborough. It also represents the fact that all good navigators should practice precision in the practice of the art and science of navigation.
