Squadron Burgee Heraldry: Greenwich Sail and Power Squadron was originally called Captain Harbor Power Squadron after the name of the Greenwich harbor and then Captain Harbor Sail and Power Squadron. Squadron Commander Susan Ryan JN changed the name to Greenwich when it became clear that few people outside of the local area knew where Captain Harbor was.The burgee was created with four white stripes to denote the rank of captain, blue for the sea and red for the sunset.
