2005 Appledore Cruise

On the evening of Thursday, 11 August 2005, members and guests of CRSPS enjoyed a sunset cruise aboard the schooner Appledore-III. Although the wind was calm, we sailed gently out of the harbor at Rockport, MA, and hugged the coast heading north. Many on board were familiar with that part of the coast, and were able to identify Halibut Point and other landmarks.
On the return journey lights were beginning to appear in shore houses, which were reflected in the calm waters as we came back in to the harbor. The ship was moored at dusk, and the happy group of CRSPS members agreed that this was a most pleasant way to enjoy a warm summer evening.
