America's
Boating Club®-United States
Power Squadrons®
is the world's largest recreational boating organization with 20,000
members. Members learn together, boat together, and help each other
and other boaters on the water and on land. The only requirements
for membership are a keen interest in boating and an eagerness to
meet and enjoy time with other boating enthusiasts. Having a boat is
not required.

- ***THE
NEWS***
*** The squadron regular dinner meetings are held on the
second Thursday of the month. Dinner is at 5:30pm and the meeting
starts at 6:30pm. The next meeting will be held at Coast to Coast
on Solomons Island (formerly Stoney's Kingfisher) on October 10.
The Squadron Calendar tab at left will have details and a map to
the location.
*** At recent dinner meetings, we have had very interesting
guest speakers. The last meeting featured Professor Thomas Miller
PhD, from the Chesapeake Biological Lab on Solomons, who told us
about the Dolphin Watch program. The previous speaker was Jin-Hwa
Frazier, who demonstrated a new type of USCG certified HERO
inflatable Life Vest from her company, SOS Swimshirt. Below are
links to websites for more information on the topics from these
wonderful speakers.
