America's
Boating Club®-United
States Power Squadrons®
is the world's largest recreational boating organization with 20,000
members. Members learn together, boat together, and help each other
and other boaters on the water and on land. The only requirements
for membership are a keen interest in boating and an eagerness to
meet and enjoy time with other boating enthusiasts. Having a boat is
not required.
Our
club, America's Boating Club Southern Maryland (ABCSOMD)
- Patuxent River Sail and Power Squadron, is a member of
America's Boating Club - United States Power Squadrons. We are
located in Lexington Park, MD home of the Patuxent River Naval Air
Station. The club serves the Southern Maryland counties of Charles,
St. Mary's and Calvert. America's Boating Club Southern Maryland is
a boating social/educational organization dedicated to providing
year round boating education classes as well as water and land based
social activities enjoyed by all our members.
Our monthly squadron membership dinner is held on the second
Thursday of the month at locations announced below. Dinner begins at
5:30pm with the member meeting at 6:30 pm. Please Join us!

NEWS***
***The next Maryland Safe Boating class will be in the spring at
the Southern Maryland Outdoor and Adventure Fair. The fishing fair
will be March 20 -22, 2026.
*** Squadron membership/dinner meetings are normally held on the
second Thursday of the month. There will no dinner meeting on
December 11, due to the squadron Christmas Party on Saturday
December 13. Use the SQUADRON CALENDAR link at left for more
details and directions.
*** The Executive Committee meeting on December 4 has been
canceled.
