VESSEL SAFETY CHECK AWARD
The Coast Guard Auxiliary expanded its Courtesy Marine Examination Program in the year 2000 to include Power Squadron members and changed the name to the Vessel Safety Check Program. The very next year, our squadron became involved.
In 2003 Past Commander Glaser established a new squadron award to recognize the Vessel Examiner of the Year for contributions made to the Vessel Safety Check Program.
