Awards and Recognition Dinner Meeting
The Awards and Recognition Dinner is held, usually in April, to recognize those members and friends who have supported and helped the Valley Ho Squadron and Commander during the previous watch year. A Squadron Member Meeting is held in conjunction with the dinner, although members are not required to partake of the dinner. Although members are awarded Merit Marks for their work each year, this meeting provides a forum for acknowledging that work, as well as for recognizing support from those who might not have received a merit mark or who are not members of the Valley Ho Squadron. Valley Ho Squadron Trophies may be awarded, or re-rewarded in the case of any which might already have been presented, in addition to Certificates of Appreciation from the Commander. The meeting is conducted by the Valley Ho Squadron Commander, but the awards are generally in recognition of support during the watch year of the immediate Past Commander. |
