Basic Boating Classes - America's Boating CourseLearn the fundamentals of safe boat handling, operation and safety in one comprehensive course.
Tuesdays, beginning February 4, 2020 - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Ritter Library, 5680 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, OH. Five 2-hour classes and a sixth night for an exam

Saturdays, beginning March 7, 2020 - 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. - Beaver Park Marina, 6101 W Erie Ave, Lorain, OH. Two 4-hour classes and a third Saturday for an exam.

Advanced CoursesFive Advanced Grade courses are offered by USPS. They are designed to be taken in sequence because each builds on skills taught in the previous course. They are Seamanship, Marine Navigation (Piloting), Advanced Piloting, Junior Navigation, and Navigation.
We plan to offer the Engine Maintenance and Seamanship classes this Spring - if we can get enough students. Please let Dave know if you are interested in taking this class.
Elective CoursesWe recently conducted the Weather and Engine Maintenance classes. We're always looking for students to take these, or any of our other courses.
Eight Elective Courses are offered by the Power Squadrons. They are Engine Maintenance, Marine Electrical Systems, Marine Communication Systems, Marine Navigation Systems, Weather, Cruising and Cruise Planning, Sail, and Instructor Development.
