Welcome to Mansfield Power Squadron

Founded in 1951 and chartered on February 7, 1952, the Mansfield, Ohio Power Squadron is an active member in District Seven of the United States Power Squadrons. Although technology has influenced the construction, appearance, and mechanics of boats, we have remained true to our focus--"to promote and perpetuate high standards of navigation and seamanship." We do this in a variety of ways:
  1. Offering boating classes to the publicUSPS Triangle
  2. Providing our membership with opportunities to expand their knowledge of seamanship, piloting, and boating related subjects through advanced grades and elective educational classes
  3. Conducting safety vessel checks for boaters at no cost to them at a variety of popular boating locations
  4. Taking advantage of every opportunity to promote safe boating.

We invite you to explore our Website to learn more about us. You will see that as an organization we enjoy many fun activities, both boating and non-boating related. Our membership includes those of all levels of boating expertise--sail and power, beginners, weekend sailors, and those who have enjoyed more extensive boating sojourns. What we have in common is our enjoyment of our nation's many waterways. Interested in learning more? Please contact any of our bridge for further information.  You will be glad that you did!

Benefits of Membership in USPS®

There are many benefits in joining the Power Squadrons. Chief among them is the camaraderie you'll enjoy with other boaters of varying boating abilities and experiences. Some members have extensive boating travel experience while others are day sailors. Some enjoy boating on Lake Erie while others prefer inland lakes and rivers. Some prefer power boats while others prefer sailing. You'll have the opportunity to travel to scheduled get-togethers (rendezvous) either traveling on your own or in the company of other boaters. Throughout the year there are opportunities to take classes or attend seminars to increase your boating knowledge. Whatever your boating level, there is something within the Power Squadrons that is suited to you.

As a United States Power Squadrons member, you can save on many products and services.  Due to our exclusive relationship with these terrific organizations, you can receive huge discounts on boating products, insurance, travel and lodging, and many more items.
