Summer Photo Contest

Please join us in celebrating summer by entering our Summer Photo Contest. The contest is open to all members of the Hartford Power Squadron. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on October 1, 2019.

First prize will be a 13" x 19" gallery wrapped canvas print of the winning photograph . The photograph will also be featured on the cover of the November-December 2019 the Bilge Pump. The top five runners-up will also be featured in that issue.

A separate entry must be made for each photograph.

Contest Rules
  1. There is no limit to the number of submissions.
  2. You must have taken the image(s) yourself.
  3. Images must be submitted in a digital format with one of the following file types: .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp .gif or .png.
  4. You should name the image as it helps the viewer see what you are seeing.
  5. You can use color or black and white.
  6. File size is limited to 15MB.
  7. You provide Hartford Power Squadron with rights to use the image for advertising and promotion of the Power Squadron.
  8. All images must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on 1 October 2019.
  9. Images will not be returned to you.
  10. Contest will be judged by the Squadron Photographer and the Bilge Pump Editor. Should there be a tie, the Squadron Commander will cast the deciding vote.
  11. The decision of the judges is final.
  12. Winners will be announced at the 22 October 2019 Members' Meeting.
