Our October meeting of the Bare Cove Sail and Power Squadron was held on Monday, October 14 at 1830 at the 99 Restaurant on Route 3A, Hingham, MA. Author Tom Hall spoke about his book: The T.W. Lawson, The Fate of the World's Only Seven-masted Schooner. Over 100 years ago, the T. W. Lawson, owned by Scituate’s Copper King, set sail from the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. Now the wreck of the T.W. Lawson lives on the bottom of the English Channel. Tom spent several years researching on both sides of the Atlantic, diving on the Lawson wreck and interviewing the relatives of those involved in the rescue efforts.

The Squadron chartered the Lucky Finn Bugeye schooner  for a wonderful two hour cruise in September on the waters outside of Scituate Harbor.
