Lobster Bake 2022
Another Lobster Bake is in the books for 2022. Had a great group of people who enjoyed the lobster or prime rib dinner and of course the camaraderie. Tentative dates for Lobster Bake 2023 are August 11 and 12.
Food Around The Bay
The first Food Around the Bay was a booming success! Two nights of wonderful food and friendship. Friday 18 members enjoyed the fine weather, flavors, and libations of Little Fleet in Travere City. Saturday 16 of us met at the VI Grill in Suttons Bay for a great meal and good time. This may become a regular event. Next year maybe a Cruise Around the Bay and Food Around the Bay combo event.
Barb's Barn Dedication
Barb's Barn, the storage facility the Lyon's have gifted to the club, was dedicated on the 8th with many members attending and sharing many stories about Tom and Barb. Dinner at Pearl's followed the dedication. A good time was had by all.
America's Boating Club Grand Traverse Bay
a boating club with activities all year long, from the Shakedown Cruise in June through the Cruise of the Bay in September to our monthly winter dinner meetings, there is always something happening.
We offer boating classes and seminars through Extended Education Services of Northwestern Michigan College that range from a basic boating course for the Michigan Boating Safety Certificate, to advanced classes in navigation, weather, marine electrical systems, and GPS, to name a few.
