Public Education

Public Education courses are designed to provide basic boating knowledge and skills.  Whether new to boating or experienced, whether a sailor or power boater, whether a non-member or member of the Ithaca Sail & Power Squadron, these courses will provide information that will make boating a safer and more enjoyable experience.

Member Education courses represent additional, more advanced, and more in-depth courses on a variety of topics including navigation, weather, equipment use and maintenance, and cruising just to mention a few.  It is one of the many benefits of joining the Ithaca Sail & Power Squadron.

As with public education courses, additional member courses may be scheduled based on demand.  The squadron tries to rotate the courses given each year so that both new and continuing members have a choice of courses to maintain their boating and safety skills.
