WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD

America's Boating Club®-United States Power Squadrons® is the world's largest recreational boating organization with 20,000 members. Members learn together, boat together, and help each other and other boaters on the water and on land. The only requirements for membership are a keen interest in boating and an eagerness to meet and enjoy time with other boating enthusiasts. Having a boat is not required.

Our club, America's Boating Club Southern Maryland (ABCSOMD) - Patuxent River Sail and Power Squadron, is a member of America's Boating Club - United States Power Squadrons. We are located in Lexington Park, MD home of the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The club serves the Southern Maryland counties of Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert. America's Boating Club Southern Maryland is a boating social/educational organization dedicated to providing year round boating education classes as well as water and land based social activities enjoyed by all our members.

Our monthly squadron membership dinner is held on the second Thursday of the month at locations announced below. Dinner begins at 5:30pm with the member meeting at 6:30 pm. Please Join us!

Dinner starts at 5:30pm, with the meeting at 6:30pm. Use the SQUADRON CALENDAR link at left for more details and directions.

*** There will be no Executive Committee meeting on July 3. The next EXCom meeting will be July 31 at Nicolletti's.

*** We all know that prudent mariners check the USCG Local Notice to Mariners (LNM) before any boating trip, but it was difficult in the past to actually do this. As of November 2024 this has become significantly easier. An upgrade to the Marine Safety Information Product was implemented allowing a check of LNMs on a chart, with daily updates. Access the new feature by clicking HERE.  Be sure to follow the start instructions at the top of the page.
