Lockport Sail and Power Squadron (LSPS), within District 6, is a unit of the United States Power Squadrons (USPS), a non-profit, national organization of recreational boaters dedicated to making boating safer and more fun. USPS is the nation's pre-eminent organization for safe boating education and is known as America's boating club. Our members conduct public boating safety classes and vessel safety checks. We also provide a variety of social, educational and boating activities for our members.

LSPS membership comprises individuals and families who are interested in improving their boating skills, making boating safer for everyone in the area and enjoying social relationships with others of similar interests.  Based near Lockport, NY, LSPS serves boaters in northern parts of western New York, including those who boat on the Erie Canal, the lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario.  We enjoy safe boating, contribute to the community, and have fun on and off the water.

You can learn more about our activities by clicking on the various topics, such as membership meetings, education, vessel safety checks and cooperative charting.  If you are not already a member, you’ll be surprised at all the benefits we offer. Important notice: At the special membership meeting, held at Olcott YC on Sat., 18 June 2016, a motion was passed to merge with other Western New York squadrons. The process will take time; the squadron will continue to operate in the interim.
